Preferences and reminders

Open the account menu and select Settings. Account preferences follow your LFG account across projects and devices; device notification permission is separate.

Under Appearance, choose System, Light, or Dark for Theme.

Check button position on mobile chooses the Left or Right edge for the check, trash, or restore action in compact rows. Right is the default. This does not move the desktop grid’s action. You can change it from desktop or mobile, including offline; it syncs when connected.

Set your timezone under Settings → Account. Reminders use this account timezone. Review it if you travel or notifications arrive at an unexpected local time.

Requires Pro, a timezone, and the Android app. Browser builds can edit account reminder preferences but do not provide Android device delivery.

  1. Open Settings and check your account timezone.
  2. Open Notifications.
  3. Turn on Notifications on this device while connected and allow Android notification permission when prompted.
  4. Turn on Notify me about due items.
  5. For the relevant project, open Project settings → Notifications and ensure Reminders for you is Follow account setting.

The device switch controls delivery to that device. The account switch controls due-item reminders for your account. Setting a project’s preference to Off mutes only your reminders for that project, not anyone else’s.

Eligible items are active, not trashed, and belong to an active project you can access. You receive reminders for items you created or are assigned to.

Reminders are scheduled around 8 AM in your account timezone:

  • The day before the due date, except for daily recurring items.
  • On the due date.
  • The first morning after the due date, if the item is still overdue.

They do not repeat every morning indefinitely. Delivery can be later than 8 AM; timezones with a partial-hour offset and device/network conditions can affect timing.

Android groups reminders. Expand a group to open an individual item or use its check action. An offline check waits to sync. The action follows the project’s workflow, just like the in-app check button.

Use Android notification settings from LFG’s Notifications page to inspect system permission. Check both LFG switches, the project’s reminder preference, Pro access, and the item’s eligibility before changing its due date.
